Why Footworx?
Set within a modern, accessible facility, our experienced Podiatrists will assess and create a personalised treatment plan for you. Our HCPC Registered Podiatrists have vast expert knowledge. We focus on patients as individuals and create their own customised care plan.HCPC registration gives patients the reassurance that we are regulated by a national body responsible for 15 healthcare disciplines in the UK that we meet policies and procedures standards. We use single-use disposable instrument packs for every treatment. For more information, please see the link here.We recognise, assess, and diagnose a wide range of foot and ankle disorders associated with both general health and particular health concerns such as Diabetes and biomechanical issues.We have a multidisciplinary network with referral pathways to other health practitioners, specialists, and surgeons, including referrals to imaging services. We undertake regular CPD updates and attend courses to ensure that we are up to date with current approaches.


The Team
Daniel Houlton HCPC Registered Podiatrist (CH13989). MRCPod BSc(Hons) ACC. Member of the Royal College of Podiatry. Daniel trained in Podiatric medicine 1995-98 at Southampton University. His main areas of interest include wound care, sports Podiatry, and orthotic design.Claire Houlton HCPC Registered Podiatrist (CH13981). MRCPod MSc BSc(Hons) ACC. Member of the Royal College of Podiatry. Claire completed her Podiatric medicine training at Southampton University from 1995-98 & completed a Masters degree from Northampton University in 2001. Her main areas of interest are nail surgery and musculoskeletal assessment.Beth and Catherine, our supportive clinical staff, are here to ensure you have a great experience arranging your appointments and to assist with your needs when you arrive at the clinic.

Instruments & Consumables
To ensure optimal clinical hygiene, we use single-use, sterile disposable instrument packs.At the time of treatment, the patient will see the opening of each instrument pack, which is fully traceable using a bar code system. The yellow sharps containers are used after each treatment to dispose of the instruments. We use SUSOL, a product from Baileys, for our instruments.In every treatment, we take precautions with a universal handwashing procedure before and after any patient conact, any of the PPE used will be disposable of, aprons, gloves, and masks. We sanitise all surfaces, including the plinth, for clinical use. If you have any questions or issues about our hygiene processes, please don't hesitate to ask your practitioner or get in touch with us. We take this topic very seriously.

Please arrive on time for appointments, late arrivals over 10 mins, you may not be able to be seen for you appointment.We must implement strict time slots and patients are booked in sequence and being late means taking time from the next patient.Failure to arrive for an appointment will be charged in full.Less than 24 hours notice for cancelling an appointment will be charged in full.All information taken is strictly confidential and will be forwarded with full consent.We reserve the right to refuse anyone that arrives on the day who has symptoms of COVID-19(Coronavirus) or has given false or misleading information.PPE/Safety precautions
We have a mask/face coverings policy within Footworx treatment room all patients and people attending with them are advise to wear a mask. However this is not mandatory.Whilst we have taken all the precautions recommended by all our governing bodies, HCPC, The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists, NHS.UK. GOV.UK and Partners at Chipping Norton health centre, we cannot be held responsible for contraction of Covid -19, within the surgery.All of our Podiatrists will wear PPE during your treatment which includes: a mask/hood, an apron and gloves.Cleaning protocols are used between each patient which includes the use of viricidal cleaners and Clenell surface wipes.This information may be subject to changes in line with HCPC NHS UK, GOV.UK and the WHO recommendations.If you are unable to agree to consent and submit, unfortunately at the present time we will be unable to see you for treatment.If you would like anything explained or wish to discuss the forms or process further please contact us.
